The Easter Bunny left rhymes for the kids and Pops was here to see them search for their baskets. Margaret found hers so fast, I didn't get a picture! Here she is feeding her baby dolls with special doll food that was in her Easter basket.
Abby didn't find hers until Tuesday! She spent all day Tuesday saying "Where my Easter basket!?" It was hard for the big kids not to tell her, but it was more fun letting her discover it on her own (behind the shower curtain).
AP had a hard time too, until Margaret suggested he look in the basket with the the hats and mittens. Unfortunately, since he was being such a pill to me, I took it away from him. He's got his act together now, and will most likely get it back this evening, thank goodness!
The girls were too cute in their white gloves, purses and Easter bonnets. Abby got right into the spirit.
Bubby came Easter afternoon with homemade lasagna which we had for dinner with ham and shrimp. The kids searched for Easter eggs that the Easter bunny must have dropped outside. It was a beautiful, sunny day, but the wind made it chilly. The girls did chalk and AP and Pops played catch for a while. While Abby and I napped, everyone played a family game. We postponed our plans to have a bonfire because we were whipped... and it was a bit chilly. AP got into more trouble before bed (trying to push my buttons, I think), which exhausted us a bit more, but all in all, it was a very nice Easter weekend. I'm looking forward to having the week off!
